A 600-person facilities management company based in Cardiff has been taken over by RSK, an acquisition group which provides environmental, engineering and technical services.
MSS Group’s 600 employees operate primarily in highly regulated and frequently hazardous environments and provide industrial and commercial cleaning, waste management, asbestos removal, water treatment, security, and more.
Currently serving primarily large multinational corporations, tier-one contractors and public sector bodies as customers, the acquisition is expected to expand MSS’s market, both domestically and globally, after a banner year in which pre-tax revenues and profits soared.
Bill Mayne, who continues in his role as Managing Director of MSS in this new phase of growth, said: “We are delighted that MSS has joined the RSK group of companies. I believe the opportunities created by the acquisition will allow MSS to grow. even more strongly, for the benefit of its staff, its customers and its suppliers. Both companies share many similar values and beliefs that will allow the culture of MSS to continue as before. »
The range of expertise and services of the RSK group enriches the range of services offered to MSS customers.
Alan Ryder, Managing Director of RSK, said: “MSS Group is another great addition to the RSK family and I’m excited to start looking at how we can all work together to deliver the best deal for our customers.
“By joining us through MSS, RSK will be able to enter the facility services business and increase its water treatment compliance services. Our current asbestos offering is also now significantly enhanced.”
The MSS deal is the latest in a series of acquisitions made by RSK, which is headquartered in Cheshire.
Details of the advisers who worked on the deal were not disclosed.
