The Ministry of Finance is making significant changes in the electronic transactions of citizens with various professional sectors from 2022.

A bill that will be tabled in Parliament by the end of the month will provide for a tax reduction of up to 2,200 euros for those who obtain electronic receipts in their transactions with professional categories at the top of the list. tax evasion.

At the same time, the ministry will introduce a lottery that will distribute up to € 100,000 through a raffle in which citizens will participate based on their online receipts and family status.

The draft law in preparation provides for an exemption of 30% of taxable income (with a proportional reduction in the tax due) of the amount that each taxpayer pays on an annual basis through online transactions for the purchase of goods. or payment for services of specific categories of businesses and independent professionals. The measure will be activated in January 2022 and will apply until December 2025.

The list of professional sectors in question will include plumbers, electricians, lawyers, architects, refrigerator repair companies, funeral homes, personal and health care companies, childcare services, cleaning and maintenance services, taxis and limousines, clothing cleaning, boat rentals, consulting services, photographers, construction companies and professionals, gymnasiums and dance schools.

The annual expenses that each individual makes electronically for visits to doctors, dentists, veterinarians, private diagnostic clinics and other medical services (excluding the purchase of drugs and hospital treatments) will count double to cover the requirement to spend 30% of annual income. through online transactions.

The new lottery will start this Christmas, offering € 100,000 as the first prize, while each month one person will win € 50,000, five will get € 20,000, 70 will collect € 5,000 and 500 will win € 1,000, according to the schedule. . until there.

The new system will also take into account other factors, such as how much a household spends in proportion to its income, and whether a family has three or more children, as households with more members and lower incomes will have additional chances of winning in the new lottery.
